The benefits of chlorine generators are silkier water, no chlorine smell, no skin or eye irritations, direct cost savings, and intrinsic cost savings (steady supply of sanitizer). Salt water chlorine generators are available based on type and size. Give us a call and we can set an appointment to determine which one is right for you.

Pool Pump

The heart of your swimming pool system is your pool pump. The motor on the pump pulls water through the skimmer or main drain and then returns the filtered water through the returns and water features. The Quietest & Best Pool Pump...

How to Know if Your Pool Pump is Not Working

So much depends on your pool pump. A malfunctioning pool pump can be an absolute headache. If the pump starts malfunctioning you need to know about it before it breaks down. There are several ways to determine if the pool pump is not working. Here are some ways to determine if the pool pump is the culprit.

Pool Pump Repair

If your pump is malfunctioning, hazardous situations can occur. If your pump is an older style circulating pump, we recommend an energy efficient variable speed pump that can save up to 75% on your energy bill. These rare-earth magnet motors can be dialed in for maximum efficiency. By reducing the energy required to filter and clean your swimming pool, variable speed pumps are quieter and last 2 to 3 times longer than traditional swimming pool pumps.

If you are experiencing issues with your swimming pool pump or if it’s time to upgrade to an energy saving model, then call our service department today. One of our trained service professionals will come out for a consultation.

Pool Deck Repair

Over time pool decks can become cracked, sunken, or just plainly an eyesore. Southern Poolscapes can help address the best renovation direction and provide a prompt quote on doing so. There are often many areas that need inspected by an expert in the field such as erosion patterns, drainage issues, settling, incorrect materials, or incorrect initial installation. The great thing is that all can typically be overcome with varying renovation installations and techniques. Sometimes an existing decking must be removed before installing the new decking choice so as to make the upgrade work in relation with the footing or weep holes of the home or existing deck that the pool deck butts up against. Southern Poolscapes handles all aspects of Pool Deck Repair so that you don’t have to

Pool Deck Resurfacing

Laying pavers over an outdated or damaged pool deck is our most popular form of Pool Deck Repair. This is where we can come in and install pavers on top of the existing concrete decking and also add new pool coping (the edge of the pool at the water) that modifies the height allowing us to install the pavers and have a totally flush installation. The great thing about paver overlays is that when they are complete you can never tell that there was anything beneath them!

Pool Coping Repair

Pool coping has many forms, such as pavers, brick, poured in place, or stone just to name a few of the many options. Swimming pool coping, no matter the type, is subject to wear and damage over time. Sometimes the cause for damage is clear although the issues for damage require thorough investigation. To reset or replace coping, we have to remove the existing material down to the subsurface and prep it for new installation. Minor repairs on smaller areas can be addressed on different sections but may lead to complete replacement in order to have a perfect match.

Pool Resurfacing

Concrete pools need resurfacing over time. Resurfacing will reinvigorate the entire back yard...

Do you have a place that holds water on the existing deck? No problem, during the paver overlay installation we can modify where the surface water drains. These are some of the many reasons that paver overlay has grown so popular for most pool deck repairs.

Pool Light Repair

A broken pool light should be addressed as soon as possible. Older lighting systems should be upgraded to modern LED to take advantage of the energy efficiency. Color changing LED pool lights add a focal point and distinct ambience to any backyard. Our recommended pool LED lighting...
